We currently have a team of 12 people, the majority of whom are Odoo consultants and developers. Over the last three years, we have grown our portfolio to 40 clients in 15 countries, including Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Ghana. Our clients are active in agriculture, renewable energy, circular economy, e-mobility, health, and other sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Odoo ERP projects from inception to completion, overseeing all phases, including scoping, planning, budgeting, implementation, and post-implementation support.
  • Define and monitor Odoo project KPIs to ensure compliance with scope, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Foster robust relationships with clients, consultants, and partners to identify opportunities for upselling and surpass client expectations.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with Odoo projects, maintaining transparent communication channels with clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the Odoo development team, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Drive business growth by identifying avenues for expanding the Odoo practice and actively supporting sales initiatives.
  • Improve organisational project management standards by optimising procedures and sharing expertise through training programs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Odoo implementation to enhance service delivery continually
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and ensure efficient project execution
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to clients on maximising the benefits of Odoo ERP solutions for their business needs.
  • Actively participate in Odoo community events and forums to contribute expertise, build relationships, and stay informed about the latest developments.

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Capable of thinking and acting at the level of a master's degree. Applicants without a master's degree are still encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant work experience, with considerable time spent in ERP implementation.
  • Must have at least four years as an Odoo Consultant implementing Odoo solutions, from initial scoping to post-project support.
  • Currently holding a role as an Odoo Specialist or Consultant in a leading Odoo or ERP consulting practice.
  • Proven expertise in major ERP systems, such as Odoo, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or a similar platform.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects, each with a budget exceeding EUR 50,000 on multiple occasions which span multiple countries.
  • Hands-on experience with Odoo implementations across versions 10 to 17.
  • Leadership experience, having managed teams of at least three consultants or developers, including managing remote teams.
  • Training or certification in project management with strong project management skills.
  • Broad international experience, with extensive project work across various African countries.
  • Comprehensive experience providing training and support to clients across diverse sectors, including agriculture, health, renewable energy, e-mobility, e-commerce, and other emerging industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, valuable for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements, and providing technical guidance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Strong stakeholder engagement and team leadership experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams, Slack, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Attention to detail and adept at quickly assessing and addressing challenges.
  • Agile, knowledgeable, intuitive and possess the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
  • English proficiency is required. French or Portuguese proficiency is a plus
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Although working from our Nairobi office is preferable, we prioritise finding the perfect candidate. We are open to remote work arrangements for candidates located within UTC 0-+3 time zones, offering flexibility to accommodate different schedules while ensuring effective collaboration across teams.
