About Us

Advance Insight (founded in 2021) is a recognised Odoo Gold Implementation partner and was voted Best Odoo Partner Africa in November 2023. 

We currently have a team of 12 people, the majority of whom are Odoo consultants and developers. Over the last three years, we have grown our portfolio to 40 clients in 15 countries, including Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Ghana. Our clients are active in agriculture, renewable energy, circular economy, e-mobility, health, and other sectors.

In the coming year, we expect to grow our team to over 20 people, double our revenue, and significantly increase the number of projects and customers. We can only realise this ambitious growth by streamlining and professionalising our operations and project management. 

To support our growth, we are recruiting a Head of Operations.  This person will be part of the management team and report to the company's Director(s).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure seamless organisational functioning by optimising operational efficiency, maintaining rhythm between deadlines and creativity, and fostering innovation and productivity.
  • Oversee project and client expectation management tasks while streamlining Odoo implementation, supporting projects, and leading account management.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with scope and budgets, prioritising customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships while seizing opportunities for high-standard project completion.
  • Strategically plan and optimise team resources across different timeframes, ensuring alignment with project demands and organisational objectives for efficient resource management.
  • Anticipate future resource needs and challenges, projecting requirements and obstacles 3-6 months ahead, offering proactive guidance and recommendations for timely adjustments and effective strategic planning.
  • Demonstrate genuine interest in team members, fostering open communication and understanding while providing tailored guidance and collaborating with HR to ensure a cohesive, high-performing team.
  • Enforce rigorous quality control measures, continuously monitoring project performance to meet high standards and swiftly addressing deviations to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes.
  • Prioritise client satisfaction by proactively anticipating needs and exceeding expectations, fostering sustained partnerships built on trust and mutual success at Advance Insight.
  • Drive continuous innovation by monitoring industry trends, identifying opportunities, and leading initiatives to enhance our competitive edge and deliver more excellent value to clients.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Finance, or related fields.
  • Project Management expertise with certifications (Prince 2, PMP, PPM) being advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least five years in IT Project Management
  • A  minimum of 4 years experience managing a team or function for a similar-sized organisation.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience in Odoo implementations.
  • Experience working with international and African SMEs.
  • Exceptional planning, coordination, and leadership abilities, with a talent for team building.
  • Familiarity with agribusinesses, sustainable value chains, and private sector development in emerging economies.

Skills Needed

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope and budget.
  • Maintain a high level of (post-implementation) client satisfaction.
  • Optimise resource allocation by effectively matching consultants with the right project.
  • Have a proactive, hands-on approach and can handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Improve billability rates for the company and individual team members.
  • Enhance cash flow through optimised project invoicing and billing processes.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables across projects, support, and developments.
  • Fluency in English is a must-have. Proficiency in Swahili and French is advantageous.
