About the role

We are looking for an Odoo Software Engineer (back-end) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Odoo development, a strong background in Python programming, and the ability to analyze business processes and translate them into robust custom solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing custom applications and integrations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Implement customisations and enhancements to our clients' Odoo databases, aligning them with business requirements and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customisation issues, ensuring uninterrupted operation and user satisfaction.
  • Work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and end-users to grasp customisation needs and propose effective solutions within the Odoo framework.
  • Develop and maintain custom modules, reports, and workflows to address specific business needs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and ensure a seamless experience with Odoo.
  • Stay updated on Odoo updates and new features, assessing their potential impact on existing customisations and recommending necessary adjustments.
  • Document customisations, technical specifications, and implementation details for knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers and front-end developers, to ensure integration and alignment with custom back-end functionalities.​

Must Have

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Odoo development (Odoo v14 and above preferred).
  • ERP development certifications, such as Odoo or ERP system administration courses, demonstrable understanding of ERP concepts and technologies.
  • The right mindset (no 9 to 5 mentality): taking ownership and initiative, meeting deadlines, sticking to an agreed planning and keeping all stakeholders well informed should come naturally.
  • Fluency in English and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Handson experience with SMEs in agribusiness, energy, health, mobility, recycling and/or FMCG.
  • International work experience.
  • Prior consulting experience.
