We currently have a team of 12 people, the majority of whom are Odoo consultants and developers. Over the last three years, we have grown our portfolio to 40 clients in 15 countries, including Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Ghana. Our clients are active in agriculture, renewable energy, circular economy, e-mobility, health, and other sectors.

We seek a Senior Back-End Odoo Developer to play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing robust solutions that power our digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Implement customisations and enhancements to the existing Odoo ERP system, aligning them with business requirements and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customisation issues, ensuring uninterrupted operation and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with partners to grasp customisation needs and propose effective solutions within the Odoo framework.
  • Develop and maintain custom modules, reports, and workflows to address specific business needs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and ensure a seamless experience with Odoo.
  • Stay updated on Odoo updates and new features, assessing their potential impact on existing customisations and recommending necessary adjustments.
  • Document customisations, technical specifications, and implementation details for knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers and front-end developers, to ensure integration and alignment with custom back-end functionalities.

Must Have

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
  • At least 8 years of work experience, with at least 5 years in Odoo development
  • ERP development certifications, such as Odoo or ERP system administration courses, demonstrate a focused understanding of ERP concepts and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in Odoo implementation and managing implementation teams.
  • Fluency in English and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with agribusinesses, sustainable value chains, and private sector development in emerging economies
  • International work experience.
  • Prior consulting experience.
