WHAT WE DO

YOUR ODOO TEAM.

Four services that cover the full lifecycle: scoping, implementation, custom development and support. Most of our clients take all four. You don't have to.

Two starting points.

Most conversations start in one of two places. Pick the door that matches where you are today.

IMPLEMENT FROM SCRATCH

No ERP today, or outgrowing a patchwork of spreadsheets and standalone tools. We scope the full operation, design the Odoo setup that fits, and implement it end to end across finance, operations, sales and HR.

"When it comes to eBee, it's not just about Kenya. We're going to spread throughout the African nations, so we need one system that all these people can connect to with ease. Within this challenge it's really important to find the right partner to grow with you, something we see Advance Insight doing."

— Isidoor Maljers, Co-founder, eBee

RESCUE AN EXISTING ODOO

Already on Odoo but the system isn't delivering. We audit the database, untangle the workflows that got bent during the last rollout, and rebuild the pieces that need rebuilding. Your data stays where it is.

"I've always appreciated how Advance and their team embrace change and enjoy a good challenge, especially in a complex business like ours. They are extremely innovative in the solutions they bring, always readily available, and not afraid to change things."

— Keiran Nicholas Smith, Founder, Mr Green Africa

What we deliver.

Four services, sequenced. Most clients move through all of them with us over time, but every phase stands on its own.

01

SCOPING

A structured four week review of your operations, data and systems. You get a written scope report, a fixed implementation budget, and a clear planning with deliverables we will stick to.

Fixed fee See scoping →
02

IMPLEMENTATION

Configure, customise, migrate, test, train, and go live. Delivered against a fixed budget agreed in scoping. Most implementations run three to four months, phased so the business keeps operating throughout.

Fixed + Hourly
03

CUSTOMISATION & DEVELOPMENT

Custom Odoo modules, mobile money connectors, tax authority integrations, bespoke reports. Built in-house, versioned, documented and handed over to your team.

Hourly or fixed See custom developments →
04

AFTERCARE & SUPPORT

After go-live we stay on, with a named consultant and defined response times. The full picture lives on the support page.

How it works

How an implementation runs.

Scoping sets the plan. Implementation is where it gets built. Here is the week-to-week of a real rollout, and what you walk away with at each step. The thinking behind it lives on our approach.

01

Kickoff

We confirm the signed scope, set the project up in your portal and agree the schedule and owners.

A project plan with dates and owners.
02

Configure & build

We set up the modules, write any custom code and wire the integrations agreed in scoping.

A working Odoo on a staging database.
03

Migrate your data

We move customers, products, stock balances and opening ledgers across, and reconcile them against your source.

Your real data, checked against source.
04

Test & train

Your team runs real transactions on staging while we train each department in the apps they will use.

Trained users and a sign-off to go live.
05

Go live

We cut over in a quiet window, switch the business onto Odoo and stay on hand through the first days.

The business running on Odoo.
06

Aftercare

A named consultant and defined response times, with the first three months covered for anything we introduced.

Support that doesn't stop at go-live.

Who you'll work with.

A small senior team. The people who scope your project are the ones who see it through to go-live.

Lead consultant

Your main point of contact. They scope the project, own the plan and answer for delivery from kickoff to go-live.

Module specialists

The person configuring your accounting, inventory or manufacturing has made that module their craft.

Developers

In-house engineers for the custom modules, integrations and mobile money connectors your build needs.

How we keep it on track

  • A weekly check-in call with the project group
  • One shared portal for tasks, timesheets and decisions
  • You sign off each phase before the next one starts
  • One place to raise an issue, with a name attached

FAQ

Implementation questions.

The ones that come up once a project is real. Cost and scoping live on our approach.

Ask us something else →
01 How long does an Odoo implementation take?

Most run three to four months from kickoff to go-live, phased so the business keeps operating throughout. Smaller rollouts are quicker; multi-company or heavily customised projects take longer. Scoping gives you the real schedule.

02 Will the business keep running during the rollout?

Yes. We build and test on a separate staging database and schedule cutover for a quiet window. Your current system keeps running until the day you go live.

03 What do you need from our team?

A decision-maker who can sign off each phase, and one or two people per department who know how the work really happens. We do the heavy lifting; they keep us honest about the detail.

04 What happens to our existing data?

We migrate customers, products, stock balances and opening ledgers, and reconcile them against your source before go-live. Nothing goes live unchecked.

05 What if we need changes after go-live?

The first three months are covered for anything we introduced. After that, a named consultant on a monthly retainer handles fixes, enhancements and new requests.
